Thank you.

We are rightfully very proud of our small school and we love hearing all the comments and compliments we so regularly get from parents, visitors and friends of the school.

This recent e-mail from one of our parent governors has prompted us to create a testimonial page in order to share those comments with you:

'I'd like to take this opportunity to say that once again the dedication of the staff at Acklington First School is second to none.  You all show utter professionalism and a genuine interest in the wellbeing, welfare and future of the children who attend. It's not just a dedication to teaching its the sheer hard work that you all put into every aspect of the school, from budgets, to the children's education. Every single member of staff does way more than just their job and it's a credit to each and every one of you that, although we may be one of the smallest schools in the County we are one of, if not the best, in my opinion.  As a parent I simply cannot ask for better and I thank you all very much for your committment and love of our school.'

This comment was received from a parent following our whole school trip to Druridge Bay Country Park:

Both of my children were very excited for their afternoon of watersports.  Having being lucky enough to have done some watersports activities with school before they were in animated discussions that morning about what they could be doing; would it be sailing, kyaking or canoeing.  On their return home they both said it had been fantastic.  My youngest told me all about how to paddle in the canoe and demonstrated which way to turn they paddle in order to make the canoe go backwards.  The eldest also really enjoyed the afternoon and was in fits of giggles telling me that he'd fallen in because he'd been leaning over to look at a fish in the lake!!  (life jackets were provided so all perfectly safe good fun).  Both children were also full of chatter about the new facilities they used which included showers and loads and loads of boats!!

And from an ex-teacher who was came in to lead a special visitor worship:

I wanted to say thank you to you and all your lovely children for a lovely time today. They are keen, well behaved and fun! You run a great school....well done!
