Please vote for our tree

One of our trees is very much in the news!

The Black Poplar tree situated at the bootom of our school field is incredibly old - no-one knows exactly how old but it was certainly here before the school itself, which was built in 1852 - and is a very rare native species.

The tree was nominated by ex-headteacher and Acklington resident, John Davison for a competition run by the Woodland Trust and it has now been selected as one ten trees in the final to be judged as England's Tree of the Year!
